Question by paradise city kid: waht are the best ear plugs?
right basically i play guitar, ive never had the amp on really loud no where near to damage my hearing. but i got an ear infection lol i thought it was the guitar i know it isnt but i really am trying to look after my hearing now. e.g. no ipods, low music level, low amp level. so just to make sure when i got my amp on. i want the best ear plugs. the highest ones i can find is ones that reduce the sound by 32 decibels lol thats great i know. but is there better. basically i want the ones that rock stars use. you know where i can get some??

I have these Alpine earplugs that work very well. You can get them for around $ 25-$ 30. I got them from “The Earplug Superstore”.

so my roommate is the loudest person ever, she always like to talk really loud, play her music really load, and play our TV in our living room really loud….especially late at night when i’m trying to sleep. where can i find the best ear plugs???? (brand? where to find?)

Any hardware store will have ear plugs (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc…). You can get a pack of them for not much money at all. I prefer the ones that are squishy. You squish them, then shove them in your ear, and they expand.

They definitely help… my room mate used to snore and it drove me nuts, but when I got ear plugs, I could sleep again.

what are the best concert ear plugs?

the foam ones blanket the music to much, i noticed. but do work.

i came across “ER-20 Hi-Fidelity Ety-Plugs”

but I think they will look really goofy. worse than regular foam ear plugs.

anyone have any ideas or suggest anything they use from experience?

Baring in mind I was 12 years old I had no idea about the risks of using silicone tunnels, I do not recommend silicone jewelry to anyone! This silicone tunnel is a 26mm.

Question by momof4: I have a child with ear tubes. How can I completely seal water out of her ears so she can go swimming?
My daughter would love to go swimming, but water gets in her ears and causes problems with the tubes she has in them. This can cause them to fall out and make us have to have them surgically replaced. We have tried the foam ear plugs, but they fall out and don’t really work well. Does anyone know of another option that we could try?

there is no need to do this.. the tubes are generally too small. but you can used wax plugs from the ear section at the market
